    Claiming for the American Opportunity Tax Credit extends this year from its supposed ending of 2010. This expands the offer of Hope Credit by letting the eligible students to credit the cost of their qualified tuition and related expenses up to $2,500, whereas up to $1,000 of the credit could be refunded.
